I for one loath having a 400 hour (or less) wonder as Second in Command when he should be in the jump seat - what these jokers do amazes me sometimes esp when it comes to airmanship. The SIC is expected by the PIC to possess a certain standard in any airline RPT operation, modern bloodey whizzbang FMC aircraft or not.
