I assume you were referring to the CX-FTA Instructor scheme that was launched 2 years ago? I don't think CX will recruit pilots through that channel again.
Not surprised to hear that at all. I know an instructor who was hired on the back of that scheme, even after he crashed and wrote off an aircraft from his previous FTO employer (due to fuel exhaustion) shortly before he went to Parafield.
No kidding - I knew the guy personally and flew that aircraft on many a nav back in my GFPT days.
