Don't worry about Bedfont. From what I've heard it's so full of members from the SWP (the ones so staunchly anti capatalist even they must see the irony of supporting a strike over perks in a job that pays, generally, over the national average wage serving high fare paying passengers in club and first) that the SWP have moved their next annual meeting to Bedfont.
As for communting. BA 'recommends' you be within 2 hours of your base. But as a responsible adult the CHOICE is yours if you want to base your place of residence on a staff travel perk that can be suspended or withdrawn at any time.
