Does anyone in BASSAland think that because they haven't got their way after the past twelve weeks, they'll finally get it if they continue? What do they consider will have changed? I guarantee that if BA's attitude hasn't altered in favour of the strikers by now, it's unlikely to alter in the future.
If they think "New Fleet" was an issue before, it's highly likely to make a more sudden appearance. Current thinking is that it will comprise about 25% of the workforce in five years and significantly more after ten. A further strike will only accelerate this. Remember, any previous guarantees regarding protection of earnings from the lucrative trips are now ebbing away.
I would be interested to hear a justification for a further ballot.
