I have to admit that Lemmo's answer does sound very promising, and actually makes some sense as to what is going on for all those people that will be employed by MAM.
I also was on a 12 month contract ( with no view to permanent work) when I started flying. 6 months into it, I became permanent. So all those that are worried about casual or contract work, my bet is that you will be safe.
