This "offer" from Woodley is cynical in the extreme.

This morning he was saying that the talks had catastrophically broken down, yet late in the day a mere 7hrs before the strike kicks off and after no further talks have been conducted, he offers to cancel it in return for ST.

He knows that the damage is done as far as tomorrow's action is concerned. From that point on, it would not make a bit of difference whether there was a strike or not. Some services have been cancelled and can't be reinstated at this late stage; passengers have been rebooked; passengers are royally inconvienanced. So the damage to the airline is done - the only difference is that with the strike going ahead - cabin crew will lose money & staff travel

update Sunday 20:00
In a statement the airline said: “We had agreed to a request from ACAS to meet this afternoon (Sunday) and are surprised that Unite did not take advantage of this. We are disappointed that Tony Woodley has taken to negotiation through the media rather than through ACAS.”

Says it all really
