I don't understand why people put so much emphasis on the role of the Ops Director. The vitriol of some on here is out of touch with what the role is accountable for. Peel's centralised model means airline negotiation and route development are covered by one team, so its the same people you talk to about developing something in LPL as you do DSA or MME. The Ops Director is there to coordinate the staff directly employed by the airport with the other on-site agencies to make sure that whatever passengers are generated by the Central team are processsed efficiently.
