I was not able to get the duchess endorsed because of lack of an airplane to do the flight test in. When I asked a cfi about the same back in 2007, he said the only duchess available in India is not fit to fly in.

The catch is DGCA approves training done abroad on airplanes not available in India. My company is procuring a jet now which doesnt have a approved flight examiner in India. But the only requirement was an NOC from DGCA and a course from Flight safety international. Of course, they have recommended familiarisation flights but no flight test on type. If thats approved, I wonder why there's an issue with an aircraft like say Be-76. If safety is an issue, they can probably recommend more hours on type when you do your training abroad.
