ranklein - most definitions of 'stable' include reference to some sort of (undefined) power setting which can be considered 'normal' for approach. All a bit vague - like so much - but remember that a very steep approach might be considered 'unstable' if, for example, the levers (engines for AB folk
) are on the idle stop (near flight idle for AB folk
