sorry to interrupt as i know yr question was directed at someone else. CAAS may and would most likely convert a CASA CPL now provided you have met the training requirements (e.g. 100 hrs PIC, 50 hrs visual nav etc etc) and the necessary examination credits.
If you are flying for the love of it, by all means go ahead and get a CPL!
If you are there for the sake of a "better chance" whatever that means, I must repeat for the umpteen time - GETTING A LICENSE DOES NOT GIVE YOU AN ADVANTAGE during the selection process. You are probably there for the wrong reason.
You will not be the first CPL holder to apply and neither will you be the last. A lot if not most CPL holders get rejected. Yes, the truth hurts!
