Not at all. I don't think they were ever close to furloughing or letting people go. They ensured that by reducing the pilot cost significantly. They manner in which they did enabled them to say that we didn't take a pay cut and everyone got to keep their jobs. Just as a side comment, even very large airlines make decisions to only furlough a couple hundred pilots at a time so the pay cut plus one hundred or so pilots leaving was probably enough to mitigate any need to formally reduce numbers. Just a theory.
