Interesting to hear that some people perceived the AA interviews were more relaxed than the QF ones, as I have also heard the exact opposite from some of the candidates.
Congratulations to those who were successful! I think all letters are out now so at least the suspense is over.
Some food for thought now;

17% of all successful applicants were residents of Cairns/FNQ.
So far as I can ascertain, all ex AWAS staff involved with the recent QF charters who applied to AA were successful.
One successful applicant was known to be some months pregnant when offered a job and will be unable to fly due to health reasons when services commence.

It will be fascinating to see who now takes up their offers to relocate to Cairns since, even as I write, MAM (lurved the "French" influence to the name Maurice on the tape btw , very sophisticated for a re-invented socialist ) is offering positions to many of the successful candidates.

To those who didn't succeed, my commiserations. Disappointing I know but it is not a reflection of your unsuitability for the flight attendant role. Perhaps more a reflection of the process or that your network of contacts wasn't as extensive as others. Remember that there will be a Southern base opening when the next phase of the airline's growth kicks in in 2003. Keep trying and good luck.
