Airspace is not closed. There are restrictions on IFR flights in Class A, that's all.
I think that is one of the best statements on this thread so far. Perhaps the BBC would benefit from knowing this instead of posting vague bulletins like 'Parts of England Airspace to reopen at 0900 tomorrow'.
