Quick fix

Dear Q503,

No calculator nor scrap paper is allowed in you motivation test which include some numerical questions.

You are allowed scrap paper for your numerical test but no calculator. These are two different tests.

Answer to your Numerical Questions

1. At 15mph, how long does it take to travel 14 miles?2. At 35mph, how long does it take to travel 21 miles?

Solution 1

Time = distance /speed. = (14/15) hour.
To convert hour into minutes multiply by 60.

Hence your solution will be (14/15) * 60 = 14 * 4 = 56 minutes.
By bringing 60 into the equation makes it easy and faster to calculate.

Solution 1

Time = distance /speed. = (21/35) hour.
To convert hour into minutes multiply by 60.

Hence your solution will be (21/35) * 60 = 3 * 12 = 36 minutes.

Divide 21 by 7 = 3 and 35/7 = 5 , use that 5 to divide 60 = 12
So it follows that 3 * 12 = 36 minutes.
