I really don't give a damn about the cost, my concessional $20 was worth every cent. The drive down from Cheltenham was quiet at 09:10, the walk from parking an enjoyable alternative to the shuttle bus and, as for the rest, sheer delight from start to finish.
It was a tad warm in the early p.m., but cooled slightly when light cloud appeared, and I actually got more enjoyment from the old aircraft demos than from my visits to Avalon.
It was on a par with the recent show at Point Cook; well organised, on-time appearances from the participants, marred slightly by the incessant verbal diarrhoea from the commentary people, but that is a purely personal view. I have no doubt that there were others there who benefitted from the commentators.
All-in-all, a beautiful, balmy day made just about perfect by the aircraft.
