I also can't see the logic in mindset. Happy to spend $200 ,$500 whatever, to fly in from where ever. Then do a scrooge on touching your pocket for $25 for a charity event. There were around 80 itinerants that flew in, average three per aircraft do the maths on the freebies, and be mind full the fly in aircraft aren't on display, they are in a secure park without public access.
The Yak 9 is still on the field the owner was in Perth with Red Bull.
