Um, no. It is not apparent from the picture you have displayed where the ash is. It cannot be picked up on normal radar, and is a very fine particulate which cannot always be seen visually.
Actually it is apparently where the concentrations are from that MODIS image. You can only see the areas where concentrations are very high, though. When it was taken just about everything south of the Scottish border had an ash layer overhead.
