Class B? Notwithstanding how close they got, did a separation standard exist (at all times)?
In class B airspace in the US, VFR aircraft are separated from aircraft weighing more than 19000 lbs or jets by:
- 1.5 miles horizontal, or
- 500 ft vertical, or
- Visual separation
