The "Forced Landing in a Langwarrin Quarry" was a crankshaft failure on a virtually new fully overhauled engine.
Generally Sunny that is when you would expect it to fail! After they have done a couple of hundred hours you gain a bit of confidence in the workmanship and materials. We all remember those IO-550 problems a few years back!
