I'm not a lawyer so don't know the specifics, but would someone be able to posit a way as to how Wizz might gain traffic rights from Russia to anywhere besides Hungary ?
Not being in the EU, Wizz will only be able to pick up passengers in Moscow if the Kremlin says so - and signals from Russia so far seem to indicate that the Kremlin is not particularly keen on open skies at the moment. I seem to recall that after Lufty took over Austrian, Russia made a fuss about Austrian Airlines being essentially German owned rather than Austrian owned and thus the Moscow-Vienna route should be served by an airline whose equity ownership was of a more Austrian nature (along with any Russian carriers)
