Well said Flame. Unfortunately, a few of your countrymen do not earn they're UK AMLs. I suspect the following does not apply to you. I've met a few that have had the privelige of attending AST or BAS on a full time basis by academically acheiving the Part 66 requirements. Great.
However, the practical experience element can be embellished with ease and sadly frequently. I quite clearly remember asking one such AMM-reference-seeking B1/B2 individual to vacate or assist in the embodiment of a 8.33khz VHF mod a few years ago. He would have been most welcome to assist but declined.
It's about the honest application of good standards. So start as you mean to go on.
