Does anyone no if Aer Lingus will bring on a route from Shannon to Lanzarote?
If there does come a new Aer Lingus route Shannon to Lanzarote, I would how they would achieve this:
- Once a week (for example) use the Shannon based A320 to fly to Lanzarote instead of a couple of Heathrow sectors
- Base an A320 in Lanzarote and use that aircraft to operate routes to Cork, Dublin, Belfast and Shannon
- Base an extra A320 in Shannon, introduce Lanzarote and a host of other routes
- Fly a W from Dublin or Cork: ORK - ACE - SNN [Crew change] SNN - ACE - ORK (That crew change thing would be costly and cumbersome...)
I am surprised EI havnt taken up some slack after FR.
They're probably enjoying the increasing yields at Cork and Dublin.
