The Gatton one looks very KR-2ish with the aircraft being on the RAAus register.

The 59-year-old is being flown by RACQ CareFlight helicopter to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

She has two broken ankles and head injuries but is conscious.

A CareFlight spokeswoman said a doctor is in the chopper with the woman and she has been intubated.

Reports indicate the single-person plane made an emergency landing in a field at Regency Downs.

"(It appears) she's come down ... the wings have come off and the engine's come apart,'' an RACQ CareFlight spokeswoman said.

Authorities are yet to advise how she crashed, or why she was flying.

No one else was injured. It appears the crash occurred in a vacant field off Lorikeet Rd.

Well pardon the fluck outta me, but I didn't realise I needed permission to commit aviation. Why shouldn't she be flying? Because she's a woman? Because flying is only for movie stars?
Twats.
