I got the numbers for AI from a friend of mine who is currently undergoing medicals for AI in mumbai. He said there were 40 from the april 09 batch and 50 cadets. All 90 are undergoing their medicals and are all likely to be inducted in seperate batches of about 20-30 this year.
The info about Jet was passed onto me by another friend of mine who in sep 2008 cleared the IPT test but was left with medicals. He met an Official at Jets office recently and he was told that the May-June 2008 batch (about 60-70) will start their sims on the 737s from april and the people from the sep 2008 batch (around 68) will be called for medicals/induction towards the end of the end of the year.
