Don't forget their policy now is everyone who gets promoted gets slightly less that the person who went before them in terms of basic, then there's the 10% cut for your first year in the left, the 10% cut for being moved to somewhere totally inconvenient and I'm told half sector pay now as well. I do know of a couple of skippers who in their first year are making just about £4k/month.
If Pilot999 has been here a while and hasn't moved bases then he'll be on an older contract which carries that kind of salary.
Oh, then at the end of your first year you'll get the 10% back and full sector pay but then you're base transfer will come through and that equals another 10% cut!! Brilliant!
