Fate Is The Hunter. My late father often joked that the construction crew laid down square metres instead of square feet. There was absolutely no need to extend it, even with the arrival of the big jets.
My last flight from Accra was on an Alitalia DC-8-40, and it was a good long walk out to the aircraft for an evening departure to Rome Fiumicino, and onwards to the UK by Alitalia Caravelle.
