Real player burrows deep into the system. I find it a bit of a resource hog, and a bit more invasive than I like. Can also be a pig to remove or install.I suggest
Real Alternative instead. (A codec can be downloaded from the same sight for Quicktime alternative, works well, both use MediaPlayerClassic, which isn't fancy, but does what it says.
