The piston Porter was traded with the Catholic Mission for an overhauled IO520 for one of their C206's. The Catholics got the better of that deal!
I don't think the Piston Porter was ever involved in an incident or accident - it never spent long enough in the air! It had the same engine as the Queenair from memory, however engine cooling was a problem - probably due to lack of forward speed!
Then it became a standing parts inventory for the Turbine Porter everytime that aircraft was involved in an accident.
I'm sure it was the Turbine Porter that was damaged - ground looped - at Karimui doing endorsement training, MB in command! But I may be wrong.
