That place was one of the first Kerema area strips that I was checked into by
Luk V back in 1990 when I was with Douglas Airways.
I remember that after about four 'circuits' in the Islander with Luk he got out and told me to do several by myself. By that time it seemed that half the village had turned out to watch! Struck me at the time as being rather odd.
