TOM long haul BRS/CWL
Can someone in the know at TOM pour light on the logic around this recurring debate on CWL and BRS threads as well as here?
TOM previously had successful long haul to SFB and CUN direct from CWL.This was pulled incidentally after the TOM/FCA merger.
Post merger -SFB and CUN are now operated from BRS where direct operations are restricted and invaraibly involve a fuel stop at MAN outbound.
If the fuel stop at MAN is unpredictable and depends on a good run off the short strip at BRS (non technical- apologies!) then the case for profitable cargo pick up at MAN cannot be a factor as previously hinted on previous posts.
Surely a guaranteed direct flight from nearby CWL with the same catchment area is the more sensible option with reduced costs of unnecessary stops? The recent very succesful Winter ad hoc 'cruise long haul flights' from CWL show that the S.W population will cross the bridge.
So why not operate your SFB/CUN direct from CWL instead of BRS?
