I was at the college last year, I left my wife and 3 young kids back home in Edinburgh and stayed in a B&B for the duration of my course, visiting home every couple of weeks or so.
Some people bring their families with them but I think we did the right thing, I was able to study in a child free environment (And could enjoy the social life
)
