Re Tiger Moth crash. You are probably right. Just a brief mention in the national press as below:
8th November 1950
A Tiger Moth training aircraft from Gosport crashed in the road between two houses at Ryde, Isle of Wight, yesterday, its two occupants being killed instantly.
