Lunar,

A little background about Gulf Heli and Qatar.

Qatar is one of the worlds wealthiest countries, if not the wealthiest, on a per capita basis.
Qatar has for years had a held view that they would like to achieve 100% employment for their citizens, by providing quality education and job opportunity.
Gulf Heli,s is more or less owned by the Qatari government, and therefore has to abide by the edict, Qatari citizen,s always come first, whether it,s employment, pay, rostering or what ever, and the Foreign employee always second.
Therefore, when it comes to any less desirable work, any Qatari citizen who works as aircrew for Gulf Heli,s, never volunteers to give up nights at home, to go work at an outside job where conditions are not near as nice.
That is why as a Foreign employee, you or me will always be told that we are going to do work that is deemed less desirable, and must do the outside jobs, or be shown the door.
If you are thinking of going to work for a foreign company in a foreign country, especially the Middle East, loose the self righteous entitled attitude, because we are always going to be second class to the nationals.
When enough of their citizens become qualified aircrew, we will all be shown the door, so until then, enjoy the ride, do what your told, and take your money home.
As far as the bonding for the 139 endorsements go, it is just their way of keeping crews from jumping ship after the company sinks a ton of money in someone. If you think it,s illegal, remember, your in a foreign country and they have their own rules, like it or leave it, with the Global financial crisis, we are apparently a dime a dozen.
