As far as I recall the first flight was on the 15th of December, so less than 3 months in total.
What could they expect, they launched the route in the middle of one of the worst winter's economically in years, with zero advertising (at the Cork end anyway) and then expected it to be an instant success, and didn't allow time for the route to find its feet. The route was doomed from the start with that attitude.
Aer Lingus will be happy anyway, zero competition again for their Cork-BHX service. No competing services from Shannon either so they can basically charge what they like.
