Assuming approval is given for the new design of the arrivals building, the total works will be completed by mid-2011.
June 2010 is the official opening of the main departures building.
But the existing 3rd world style arrivals buildings will be in use until mid 2011; so in-bound passengers are not going to be in for a nice new experience at all.
New arrivals building has no toilets or shops or car rental spaces in the non-restricted areas - just an open air waiting area. How crazy! After spending millions on the departures building! Isn't Bournemouth tourism a little peeved at this? How short sighted that the airport doesnt think it needs to waste time or money on arrivals. It could be made to make money if it was good enough to house facilities!
