I don't agree that CFIT can be classed as GN
Unintentional CFIT probably cannot be so classified without substantial supporting evidence.
But (though not in
this accident)
intentional CFIT would be not merely Gross Negligence, it would be both suicide and, if there was more than one person in the aircraft, murder. Has it ever happened?
