Birmingham or Coventry.
If my experience of either flying from or dropping passengers off is anything to go by then its Coventry every time. Sure COV is never going to compete with BHX but I think Coventry can compliment BHX in the future,diverts etc. Hopefully some smaller or budget airlines could be handled by COV, who knows whats ahead in these difficult times but I hope all involved can agree if the deal goes through that its given a fair chance and petty squabbles and nimbyism are not allowed to rule the day.
As someone in the past who has complained to COV about being woken at 3.00am by a frequent night freight on route to Whitegate who cut the corner on a 05 takeoff I understand local opposition to aircraft noise if it was occuring all through the night. To be honest we get more sudden aircraft noise here from the Air Ambulance going to UHCW but do we complain.. No of course not its modern life.
