Building hours for free. With PPL getting other people paying for my aircraft rental
I’m still on the process of getting my PPL and I was wondering if was actually possible a system I figured out to build hours at zero cost, or very cheap anyway.
The idea is to advertise a service of sightseeing by airplane at very cheap price.
Example:
- The rental price of a Cessna 172 (four seats) is 120£ per hour.
- I’ll advertise the sightseeing tour for 40£ per head per hour.
- Once I get three strangers sitting with me on the Cessna 172, my flying time is free!
- I shouldn’t be breaking any rule because I’m not making a penny from it.
- To avoid any misunderstanding I won’t touch any money, I’ll just get the other guys paying for the aircraft straightaway at the airport.
I had this idea because I’m already familiar with advertising and other types of business.
What do you think guys? It’s a bit ambitious but… would it be within the rules?
