Actually, no. It was a misinterpreted system malfunction resulting in the crash landing of an airplane that would have flown. Notice, I’m not blaming the crew … I’m just saying that cavalier statements like “shaker-caused crash” should be analyzed before hitting the “send” button. Stick shakers don’t cause crashes; however, crewmembers misinterpreting stick-shakers can cause all sorts of problems.
