I can't see a slip road to the A338 happening this decade! Far too many hurdles to cross. Would require a new junction and flyover on the A338, SSI land to cross etc.
Anyway the authorities don't actually want to encourage passengers to arrive by car. Instead they think they will take to the ridiculousy timed, ridiculousy expensive and ridiculousy empty bus that trundles to Bournemouth travel interchange every hour (well not every hour becuase the service stops before the last of the arrivals at night and doesn't commence again in the morning in time for the first departures).... or perhaps the council / highways expect passengers to cycle to the airport. I do hear that there will be a new cycle rack!
