I've never heard of a fuse plug meting due to taxiing or anything tire related.
The point is that the fusible plug
won't melt! The tyre itself fails - it
bursts, usually during the subsequent take-off roll, although it may sustain damage which isn't noticed and then fail down the line. Have a read of the Take-off training aid, in the link I put up in a previous post.
