I saw the oleaginous performance of El Portillo on the box last night and was, shall we say, less than impressed.
Spouting a few catchphrases such as 'boots on the ground', he came across as a total idiot. Whereas the French spokesman was much more articulate and at least offered considered replies rather than prepared phrases.
One hopes that El Portillo will not be put in charge of anything important after the next election. Minister of Transport (or whatever it's now called) - he could play with his beloved choo-choos to his heart's content.....
