Well, in all honesty and without biasing against EK, I have heard of not one person with more than 30 allocated leave days. If anyone knows of a colleague who has, let us know.

The situation until at least September for criple 7 crews is desperate. It would not surprise me, therefore, if there has been a reduction in summer leave slots too to cope with this pilot requirement. Of course, we'll never know as they never tell us the numbers.

I did read between the lines of ED's usual crap and noted how he didn't use any percentage figure for how many actually received 42 days allocated leave. He did last year! I use the word crap because it's bloody insulting when he feels 'they' have achieved the target of providing us with 30 days. The target ED should be 42. That's because 42 days is the number of days leave we, as pilots, are entitled to. That IS in our contract. 30 is the minimum you numpty! Jeeze, If we based our own standards on that of our 'managers', the bastards would be firing around twenty of us every single day.

When you've not received a pay rise or a profit share, like all the other group employees, that may be acceptable if times are tough. However, to also lose 3%, have your productivity increase by 14% and have almost 2 weeks deferred off your leave, that's taking the proverbial. If there is no pay increase on the table this year, the senior managers will have seriously misread the feelings of their 'valuable staff'.

Things could get very ugly indeed!
