I was just looking at the Aerlingus/Aer Arann alliance as it applies on New York Cork via Dublin. EI105 arrives DUB from JFK 0515 RE 607 dep DUB 1015 Arr ORK 1110
EI108 arrives DUB from JFK 0935 RE623 dep DUB 1500 Arr ORK 1555
If that's what they mean by connectivity then I'd rather travel via LHR or AMS. Of course people living near regional airports do not have that option but there's always the train or the bus.
