If you said you were driving to Bristol to go I'd say something toolbox, but to spend at least 2 hours round trip going the wrong way is very strange. Along with the cost of AF/KLM prices.(you must not be paying). 1 hour on an ATR to Dublin, preclearance, and to hop off in Chicago,Boston,N York or Orlando is a no brainer to me!The ATR's on this service are all less than 3 years old from April on, Making it one of the youngest fleets in Europe not to mention the very tired fokker 100's KLM use on that service. Where are your source to say the current route DUB suffers from delays?. Even if there is a tech or weather delay (which happen) there are 3 flights a day to Dublin making it possible to get the following flight. Maybe if they turn the Runway lights off you could get a good night sleep and see sense!
