Museum
The fallacy about JT's B707-138B going to the QANTAS Founders Museum has been doing the rounds for some time, ever since the aircraft began to emerge in it's temporary livery. The word is 'temporary'.
The museum is not owned by QANTAS. It is a private concern with support from the airline.
I do not honestly think that JT is going to allow his beloved 707 to rot slowly in the desert for ever and a day.
As for the Super Connie, yes early on in the piece that was the request, however H.A.R.S. have recognized now that the aircraft is better off with it's own identity, and therefore H.A.R.S. is recognized as the owners, and not QANTAS. The Society is constantly having to educate folk at shows that the aircraft is not owned by QANTAS, however H.A.R.S. do have a good relationship with the airline, and willingly promote the airline's history.
