I think you're being too hard on CC89. CC89 were part of Amicus. Then Amicus merged with T&GWU to form Unite. I don't believe they had a lot of say in that merger or whether they'd prefer to be independent. Unfortuneatly still don't know their membership numbers, but at most it's 22% of CC at BA. From the comments I've seen here CC89 were willing to negotiate & had done so.. just got overwhelmed by the da big bad BASSA...
Were treated like pariahs by BASSA during negotiations..... but ended up thumping the UNITE tubs.
I'll say it again: Spineless. Then again, we are talking about the "leaders" here....
I feel as sorry for CC89 members, who followed their leaders and have been betrayed, as I do for BASSA members.
They do not deserve the people that claim to represent them.
