TAA Twotter
tinpis
During the famine in early seventies a TAA Twotter pilot invited me on a flight to Nipa loaded with, of all things, tinpis, as the kau kau crop had been frosted off (turned out the people wouldn't eat the tinned fish, as at that stage it apparently wasn't part of the normal diet - so much of it ended up in the markets)
Back to the point - the Twotter was handled safely and professionally as one would assume a tattars pilot would, and he gave me quite a few tips on flying in PNG which was a good intro to how to survive - yep they were kinda godlike in their own way tinpis, as you said.
