What I cannot understand is, why would a jounalist care what pilots get paid these days, when more important things like the bonuses of Bank employees and CEO's are highlighted in the papers??? This gets a more angry reaction from the public and hence gets more interest.
Our profession is a joke and has been totaly ripped apart in the past 15 years thanks to politicians, CEO's and many others. As one who has made it the the 4 bars, i would say, it aint what it was when i started out. An illusion, a false oasis. It's sad, but true! I should be a journalist so I can publish crap, but unfortunately I am too honest, hence this piece!
