Is it still required when checking in on first contact in the air when arriving? E.g We have information Juliet, QNH 1026 or is it just required on the ground when making first contact?
I can see why they ask for aircraft type in London, but it does get rather annoying when you fly for an airline which has 218 identical aircraft!
I especially like Belfast City's own interpretation which happens every single time we request push and start, even if I've just got clearance and verified ATIS letter and QNH 5 seconds before, then we request push and start and get "XYZ, Push and start approved for RWYXX, Information Alpha, QNH 1026"! So do I read the mandatory readback QNH for the 3rd time in the past 30seconds?
